
Joel Hollander, Ph.D. has a wide range of experience that includes academic posts at institutions of higher education and museum experience. Earning his doctorate in Art History at The University of Minnesota (1999), where he specialized in nineteenth and twentieth century visual arts, particularly that of Ireland, Hollander currently lectures full-time at the University of Miami and as an adjunct at Florida International University (FIU), teaching introductory courses, as well as Modern and Contemporary Art. While teaching Art History and Humanities at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in Fort Myers, FL, he helped develop externally-funded programs, grants, and curriculum, which provided him with a background for his duties at The Wolfsonian-FIU, where he wrote and edited content-driven government and foundation grant proposals.
