Tori Arpad-Cotta MFA | Associate Professor
Ceramics + Installation
Arpad-Cotta’s work was included in the Shumen Biennial in Bulgaria in 2006. She served as Artist-in-Residence in AIRIE (Artists In Residence in the Everglades) and with Land Arts of the American West, a field-study program run by University of New Mexico-Albuquerque and University of Texas-Austin. Arpad-Cotta received a Florida State Cultural Council Individual Artist’s Fellowship and was recognized by the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts with an Emerging Artists Award. Arpad-Cotta has exhibited internationally since 1996 and has been an Artist-in-Residence at the Process/Space Festival in Bulgaria. As a member of EXCHANGE: Korea/Japan/USA she has exhibited in South Korea and Japan.

Books featuring Arpad-Cotta’s work include Land Arts of the American West by Bill Gilbert & Chris Taylor, Confrontational Ceramics by Judith S. Schwartz, Ceramics: Mastering the Craft by Richard Zakin and Claywork: Form and Idea in Ceramic Design by Leon Nigrosh.

Arpad-Cotta teaches the Installation Art course which is a collaboration with the Wolfsonian-FIU Museum on Miami Beach and culminates with a public exhibit of student work in Miami’s Design District each spring semester.
